Emmanuel
Church

We are located at 100 Grant Avenue in Somerville, NJ. The church has a parking lot on site. We also offer street parking if the lot is full.

Regarding how to dress or what to bring, we welcome all to come as they are. Some of our congregation wear suits and dresses, others wear jeans and sneakers. What's important to us isn't how formal you dress but that we provide a place where you can encounter God through the Gospel.

On Sundays we start with music, either contemporary or traditional based on the service, encouraging people to participate in joyful worship. We have a liturgical service, which means we worship with prayers that have been prayed by Christians since the earliest days of the church. We also have a Bible-based sermon that is faithful to the text and relevant for our lives. On the first Sundays of the month, we take Communion as a church and all baptized Christians are invited to participate. If you join with us during our newer Thursday evening worship, that service is a more contemplative and quiet service. It features all the elements of a traditional Anglican evening service, with a homily on Scripture but without music.

Children are welcomed here at Emmanuel Church and their experience with us is paramount! We provide a safe, fun, and engaging experience for kids aged 5 through 12 in our Emmanuel Kids Ministry held in our Kids Zone. Teens and kids below 5 are welcome to join services with their families. See more about Emmanuel Kids hereFor when you need it, we offer a Quiet Room/Nursery where a parent can have a little privacy and the service is live streamed
