About Emmanuel Church

We are a church who believes that lives are transformed through Jesus Christ. Our mission is to serve God and serve our neighbors in Somerset County and beyond.

We launched as group founded on faith and prayer

We started with one family and a storefront on Main Street here in Somerville. We met regularly for prayer and to share the Gospel with all who were seeking Jesus and a place to call home.

We grew as a church grounded in the faith and in prayer

We grew in size and dedicated our current church in 1957. We then were able to add on a Sunday School wing a few short years later to better serve the youth in Somerset County and the kids who called our church home. All throughout our history, we have been a church focused on loving Jesus and being faithful to the Bible and preaching the Gospel of Christ.
