What to Expect on Sunday
It's your first time with Emmanuel and you are wondering what to expect? We meet every Sunday at 10:00 am and have a few different service formats: every first Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion, where we share in the meal that Jesus celebrated with his followers and gave to us to do as well (Luke 22:19; 1 Cor. 11:24-25). On the remaining Sundays of the month we hold a more traditional Morning Prayer service which includes hymns or contemporary music. We enjoy the diversity we offer as a church and believe that you will be well served at Emmanuel.
So no matter which Sunday you attend you can expect a mix of liturgical worship, prayer, and a sermon which is faithful to the Bible, as we believe it is God's Word for all of us. Our Lead Pastor is passionate for God, the Gospel, and sharing Jesus with all who come to Emmanuel.
Your children's experience with us is paramount and we provide a safe and engaging experience. We offer Emmanuel Kids for children ages 5 through 12. Teens and kids below 5 are welcome to join services with their families. For when you need it, we offer a Quiet Room/Nursery where a parent can have a little privacy and the service is live streamed
Regarding how to dress or what to bring, we welcome all to come as they are. Some of our congregation wear suits and dresses, others wear jeans and sneakers. What's important to us isn't how formal you dress but that we provide a place where you can encounter God through the Gospel.
We also gather Thursday evenings at 7:00pm for a time of worship, Scripture, and preaching. These services are spoken and silently reverent.
Lastly, we also have a coffee fellowship on the second Sunday of the month where you can meet other members of the church and the church leadership team. We hold these, weather permitting, from September through May!
