What Do We Believe?

Scripture

We believe that Holy Scripture is the Word of God written and contains all things necessary for salvation. It is the sole infallible authority and unchangeable standard for Christian life.

Trinity

We believe in one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. co-eternal, co-equal, and of one being, power, and glory.

The Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and he reigns at the right hand of the Father as Lord and King.

Justification

We believe that sinners are justified by grace alone through faith alone, and not by works, but only for the merit of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Word and Sacrament

We believe that the Church is called to proclaim the Word of God and faithfully administer the Sacraments ordained by Christ—Baptism and the Lord’s Supper—as sure signs and means of grace.

Life

We believe that the moral law of God, revealed in Scripture, calls all believers to holiness, obedience, repentance, and love, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, yet without sin.

The Cross

We believe that Christ offered Himself once for all upon the Cross, a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, assures us of adoption, and empowers the Church for godly living and mission.

Mission

We believe that the Church is sent into the world to bear witness to Jesus Christ, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and serve in love until He comes again.

Church

We believe in one, holy, catholicm, and apostolic Church, the Body of Christ, united by the Spirit, founded on the apostles’ teaching, and expressed in faithful local congregations.

Last Days

We believe that Jesus Christ will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and that the faithful will be raised to eternal life in the new heaven and new earth.
